Short Haul Flights: still clogging’s runways

A new study from HACAN (1) reveals that nine out the ten top destinations served by Heathrow are short haul. Only one, New York, is long haul. The rest are European or British destinations. ‘Operational Freedoms’ trials to be extended by six months. Surprise change to night flights.

Aviation Minister Theresa Villiers has agreed to significant changes to the second phase of operational trials at Heathrow (1). The trials, due to begin on 1st July, will be extended by six months.
